Jelly Tots Jewellery

my jelly tots keyrings are very popular - especially the personalised ones - and I love the different words and messages I'm asked to embed in the resin.

As I have to mix a batch of resin for every layer I make other items at the same time as the personalised order.
These are a few items of jelly tot jewellery that I make that aren't keyrings.
This traffic lights pendant is in the Just K Jewellery shop on WOW Thank You
All the other pieces are in Just K Jewellery on GroovyCart
Even though I say so myself they are definitely unsual and fun pieces of jewellery
and I bet everyone who wears them are asked about them
and while they might not be to every persons taste I bet they raise a smile and become a talking point

Memories of Childhood Holidays

gosh, I can't believe how long it's been since I last blogged!

Today I want to feature one of my fellow crafters Shoogly Beads

Shoogly Beads specialises in gorgeous jewellery and original handmade polymer clay beads and buttons.

Pat also paints and recently I saw a link to this fabulous little original ACEO painting which I had to buy.

It immediately transported me back to our family holidays as a child.  We used to go camping in Croyde Bay in North Devon - in the days before it was a trendy surfing centre.  We camped in Farmer Brown's orchard behind the farmhouse - there were no facilities apart from one cold water tap and we used the public loos in the village (we didn't have a bath or shower for the entire holiday) but it was bliss, we had wonderful holidays.
I know there is a family photo of us on the beach walking towards the sea trailing buckets and spades which this little painting reminds me of as well as photos of us shrimping with fishing nets in the rock pools - but I don't have any copies of those photos.  Maybe these photos will give a flavour of those holidays...

I can't believe these photos are nearly 50 years old - where did the years go!

I Love You Lots - like Jelly Tots

I was recently asked to make another personalised jelly tot bag charm.  I have to mix a batch of resin for each layer so decided to also make these jelly tot heart bag charms with the words "I love you" or "I love you lots" cast inside the resin heart with the real jelly tot sweet

Most of them are for sale in my GroovyCart shop but I've also listed one in my Folksy Shop

our little Pepper cat

some of you may know that we adopted Pepper last september.  She'd been abandoned by her previous owners who left her behind when they moved.  A neighbour took pity on her and she was taken to the local rescue centre to be rehomed.
She's a lovely, affectionate cat - but likes to be able to see us or be near us most of the time.  Sometimes she's more like a dog than a cat - she loves playing chase with Nick in the garden.  He also drags a twig across the grass which she chases, and then picks up in her mouth & carries away.

She likes to get a few zzz's in - like all cats
on the sofa
or my work chair
but the laptop is her favourite place.
She knows she's not allowed on it though and resists all attempts to move her

She likes "helping" me to arrange the jewellery to be photographed

we think she was an indoor cat in her previous life as she didn't know how to climb trees or fences when she first came to live with us

but she does now....   Trees = birds = yummy!

I love you lots like Jelly Tots - for Mothers Day

I was asked to make another personalised jelly tot heart bag charm recently.  The words I was asked to include must have been a private message or joke so I hope the recipient likes it - she's got a lovely boyfriend to go to all that trouble.
As I had to mix up a batch of resin I decided to make some more jelly tot heart bag charms (or keyrings) but with the word Mum or Mummy for Mothers Day

I didn't want to leave out Nana so made one for her too.  They've been listed in my GroovyCart shop today.
