Heather Flower Jewellery

When I'm in my workroom Pepper often keeps me company.  She's got a good view from the windowsill of the bird table which we keep well stocked.

Like most people we have a visiting squirrel

And we occasionally get some Jays

I grow a few different colour Heathers in my garden - which I pick and press to use in my resin jewellery.  I discovered recently that you can press/dry flowers in the microwave - which saves so much time.  I no longer have to wait months to be able to use the flowers I've pressed.

Upcycled Tape Measure Resin Jewellery

Cute cat photo followed by shameless promotion...

I recently treated myself to a new tape measure.  I think my old one must have been at least 30 years old.  

I hate throwing anything away so I have started cutting up the old tape measure and casting it in resin to make another line of resin jewellery.

Goldfish in Resin Jewellery

I have a Post Room assistant - she's not very helpful when I'm packing up orders, but she has fun.

I love using these little polymer clay Goldfish in my resin jewellery - they really look like they are swimming in the resin.  Someone recently was horrified, thinking I was using real fish - they are so sweet and realistic.

I have quite a large range of different jewellery - pendants, rings, cufflinks, earrings and keyrings or keychains.

Postage Stamp Pendants

These pendants have been made with old, used postage stamps that I have cast in resin.

 

 

This one has a red postage stamp with the Queen's head and a face value of 4d.

 

A shire horse postage stamp.

 

An old English sheepdog postage stamp.

 

This stamp features the puppet from the old children's television programme Muffin the Mule.

 

All the stamps have been franked and vary in condition which I think gives them a lovely vintage appearance.
