black & white toile resin jewellery

I found some pretty black & white toile and made a selection of resin pieces a while ago. As usual with me they went into the "made" pot while I moved on to my next idea - does anyone else do this?

I found them the other day when rooting through the pot looking for something else and decided to make them up into some jewellery.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I started making jewellery for myself a few years ago and soon became totally addicted. I borrowed books from the library and bought lots too.

I discovered resin after going on a silver clay workshop in 2007. Whilst I loved making the pure silver jewellery it was adding colour that interested me. I tried enamelling and might have pursued that direction if I hadn't discovered you could use coloured resin instead of enamel to achieve the effect I was looking for.

Then I bought a book about resin jewellery and as soon as it arrived I knew this was what I wanted to do. I struggled in the early days as there were virtually no supplies or moulds available in the UK. Everything was trial and error - and there were lots of errors. Luckily today both the resin and moulds are more easy to source in the UK.

Since the early days I have developed my techniques and skills. I'm constantly experimenting - "what will this look like in resin" - or making my own moulds from items I find.
