More Resin Jewellery...

Just thought I'd quickly post this photo of my latest pieces of resin jewellery
At the back are three rings & the two oval pieces have stud earring fittings. Adding the small swarovski crystals seem to finish off the jewellery nicely

Resin Jewellery...

I'm really getting into resin & the different kind of jewellery I can make with it. Still very much at the experimental stage but any pieces I feel are worth sharing I'll post the piccies here.
The blue earrings have seed beads & glitter embedded in the resin while the red earrings have a layer of clear resin with shell fragments & finished with a layer of pink resin
This pretty butterfly is clear resin with pink & purple seed beads finished with claret coloured resin.

Blue Angel Jewellery & more...

I made this necklace & earrings set for Just K Jewellery. It's two different blue glass beads with crystal angel wings.

I also made the red cluster bracelet for The Secret Jewellery Boutique. The bracelet is handmade too from large silver jump rings.

The bank holiday weekend has been a total wash out & we've been housebound. I've been experimenting with resin & made these rings. Then I read in the sunday papers that cocktail rings are the "in thing". Not sure if my rings would qualify as cocktail rings but they are definitely fun costume jewellery. I've kept the round one in the middle for myself but will put the star rings on my websites

More Jewellery...

Nick's been in Cyprus for the past three days on business - due home late tonight. I made this bracelet for The Secret Jewellery Boutique. It's got loads of flower beads & the colours give it a real vintage feel

I also made the sweet hearts below for Camille's Strawberry Tea fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care. As you can see the pink ones are keyrings & the purple ones are fridge magnets.

I must make another batch of sweet hearts for The Secret Jewellery Boutique - at present I only have them for sale in Just K Jewellery

ArtSpace....

We went to ArtSpace yesterday which is held at the Barn Galleries near Henley on Thames. Absolutely fabulous!! There were some lovely bronzes & ceramics but I love the sculptures & metalwork that they display in the gardens best. Most pieces are way out of my league financially - and would look completely out of place in my little bit of suburbia - but it's so inspirational to see what these talented people can create.

Back to reality - I made these pretty vintage style earrings for The Secret Jewellery Boutique

More Jewellery...

I haven't coiled wire for ages & had forgotten how satisfying it is. The earring below are hand coiled & I used these attractive chunky ceramic beads to finish the earrings.
I used Nick's photos of flowers in two of the pendants below & the other one is resin that I have
tinted to create the gold/orange colour

All this jewellery is in The Secret Jewellery Boutique

Strawberry Charm Bracelet...

I finished the strawberries & cream charm bracelet and have posted it to Camille for her Strawberry Tea fundraiser in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

I wrote the instructions & took photos at each stage for Easy Craft Projects. If anyone fancies having a go at making a similar bracelet you just need to click the link on the right of the screen to visit Easy Craft Projects. You could easily have a different theme by substituting other charms and coloured beads.

I'd bought this juicy lucite strawberry to use as the feature bead for the bracelet but it didn't work as I felt the strawberry was too kitch. Instead I've strung it simply on a silver chain.

I have to admit...

I have to admit I haven't been making much jewellery recently - the weather's too nice to be indoors. I've spent most days in the garden, tidying up, planting out my summer bedding, making the hanging baskets and generally just enjoying being outside.

I started the bracelet below a while ago and eventually finished it last night. It's for sale in The Secret Jewellery Boutique...

Easy Craft Projects...

I've just joined the Design Team on Easy Craft Projects. I'll be writing a monthly jewellery making project for them.
I will also continue writing my regular Make this... project here & on Just K Jewellery.

Isn't it a glorious day - well it is here in Hampshire. I've spent a lazy day in the garden, reading, doing the sudoku & feeling guilty for abandoning the housework & an enormous pile of ironing (actually I don't feel guilty at all but it sounds better if I pretend I do!!).

I'm waiting for some beads I've ordered to arrive & then I'm going to make a bracelet which will be donated to a Strawberry Tea fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care. The "do" is being organised by Camille from Black Rose Cards. I've decided to make this bracelet the first project for Easy Craft Projects. I'm not telling any more about the bracelet for the time being but I will post a photo of it here when it's finished. Let's hope Camille raises a tidy sum to help fight this dreadful disease.

Make this citrine bracelet...

This is just a project as I've used some left over beads - it isn't available to buy as a kit from Just K (although if you are desperate to make it I can source the beads again & make it into a kit)

The finished bracelet is available to buy from Just K Jewellery

Pendant for me...

I made this pendant of my grandmother into a necklace for me to wear. I've used freshwater pearls, semi precious citrine & butter jade gemstones.

Photo Pendants...

This is what I wanted to do with the photo pendants - make personalised pendants to order. The photos will need to be emailed to me & I will then be able to print them out in colour, black & white or sepia (to give a vintage look). The photos will be sealed with either clear resin or tinted to any colour of choice. The finished pendants will be strung on chain (any length - again to personal choice) and I can add a cluster of beads - again any colours. Alternatively the pendants can be strung simply on ribbon or thong.

I'm hoping to extend this personalised photo jewellery to include bracelets - probably with 3 or 5 small photo charms and other beads & charms to suit the customer (or recipient if it is bought as a gift). There's lot's of fun charms available - handbags, shoes, gardening tools, zodiac charms etc etc...
