another resin pendant

as promised in my previous post - here's one of the blue resin shapes - made up into a pendant, with a pretty sterling silver bail and chain

I'm a bit obsessed at the moment - as you've probably realised - with adding glass paint to resin during the curing process. You get a completely different result depending on how "sticky" the resin is. I've just mucked up a batch by adding the paint too late & it hasn't worked at all. I think that's the fascination - if I knew what was going to happen I'd have lost interest - lol!

my favourite word seems to be "playing"...

I've been playing with resin & glass paints again - I just love seeing what happens coz it never works the same way! This necklace is now mine - my favourite colours!

I've got some more of these shapes on the go but this time in blues shades - they look like they're going to be really pretty but I won't know until I demold them.

These earrings have been made the same way & I'm going to list them on Folksy - I seem to be neglecting my shop on Folksy...

at long last we've sorted out what stock Dad has left after his very successful show at the local arts centre.

new earrings

We've just got a laptop which I'm slowly getting to grips with...

I've added two new pairs of earrings today

These ones are on sterling silver ear wires. They are handmade resin hearts - I created the pattern by adding glass paint to clear resin at different stages of the curing process. I'm really pleased with the result & thought I'd better list them before I was tempted to wear them myself! They are for sale in my MISI shop http://jkj.misi.co.uk

the 1st MISI event in Bristol...

I've just posted a batch of samples to Emma for the 1st MISI event in Bristol. It's on 7th November at The Paintworks & runs from 10.30am to 5pm.

new jewellery and beads

I added some new stock to Just K Jewellery and Just K Beads today...

I was playing around with some images of a red lipstick kiss and decided to see what they'd look like cast in resin for pendants. These ones are available from my Groovycart BEADS shop. I'm going to make another batch for a funky bracelet.
