Fish swimming in blue resin water jewellery

It's a glorious sunny day here and I've been quite productive.  I've been making a custom order, taken photos of new stock and created "draft listings" in my Etsy shop - all ready to go live when I'm ready.

I keep the door of my workroom closed when I'm not working as Pepper does like to investigate.  The fascination is probably because she's locked out of here most of the time.

I was asked recently if I could use blue resin rather than clear resin with the little fish - so it looks more realistic.  I wasn't sure if it would work but had a go - and these are the result.

All these items are listed in my Etsy shop.  As usual type "fish" in the search box to find them - as well as all the other fish jewellery.

Pepper is now bored with my workroom and with me working - she is rubbing around my legs and miaowing at me to go outside and play with her......

Fish in Resin

I can't believe I've neglected my blog for so long.

I've been busy making and stocking my shop on Etsy.  I opened it a while ago but have only started listing regularly in the past couple of months.  I joined the CraftyFolk team on Etsy who have a Daily Listing club where you try to list every day and we record all the sales of the team members who are taking part.  It's been a really good discipline for me.

I'd bought a pack of seed beads a while ago - each colour coming in it's own little glass bottle.  I knew I'd find a reason to recycle the little bottles at some stage and when I found some miniature polymer clay fish recently - whilst trawling the internet for something else - they seemed to be a perfect match. A little bit of resin in the bottles and the fish appear to be swimming!

I've used the little fish in other resin pieces, making them into pendant and keyrings - quirky or what!
