trying different sweets in my jewellery

I've been trying different sweets in my resin beads and pendants. I'm sure the lady in the pick 'n' mix shop thinks I'm mad as I inspect the sweets carefully - you'd be surprised how big most sweets are - especially when you're going to cast them in resin rather than eat them - lol!

funny how it's always me who can't get on ther PC these days! Roll on Nick's business taking off so we can buy another PC or laptop...

But - not being able to get on the PC does make me spend more time in my workroom. I've made and uploaded loads of stock to my GroovyCart BEADS shop as well as a selection of glue on jewellery findings that are slightly more difficult to source - and ideal for my flat back resin pendants & cabochons - take a look

I've been busy

it's been pretty busy & full on recently. I'm working on a number of custom orders as well as helping Nick to set up his own business. We've decided to have a "team meeting" on mondays to allocate PC time!!!

resin cabochons, butterflies & pendants

I've been having an enjoyable time making lots & lots of resin pendants, cabochons & butterflies for my BEADS shop on GroovyCart. I've just upgraded the shop to silver so now all I've got to do is fill it with stock!

These pendants, butterflies & cabochons have been added today - I've got lots more to finish & photograph & even more still curing...

Been busy making lots of new resin pendants for Just K Beads and Karen's Beads on MISI

I bought a couple of new molds - butterflies and cabochons. The first butterflies are for sale on MISI at a special reduced price as they are my test pieces to see how to create the best effects with different colours. You have to work upside down and let each layer cure between colours so it can be a time consuming process.

resin cabochons, roses & flowers

I've just finished a batch of resin cabochons - all 16 are different! The cabochons have been demolded and are now under the lights for a couple of days.

I just LOVE working with resin!

Next project is a chunky blue necklace - I'm going to have to play around with colours to achieve the effect I'm after. First stage is now curing & looks great - I hope the effect isn't spoilt when I add a darker blue for the second stage - but they are too light blue at the moment.

I've listed some resin flowers on MISI.

The roses don't have any holes or fitting & are flat back, they will need a pendant bail or other flat back setting.

The other flowers have a hole and jump ring but would look great with a decorative pinch bail.
