Jewellery with Words

This is something new from me.

I've used words from old books - the words have been captured inside a small silver plated bezel cup with a clear glass cabochon which magnifies the words.  No valuable old books have been used - just very ordinary books that have seen better days.

So far I've just made some word charm bracelets but am looking forward to extending the range next year.

Gorgeous Jewellery Showcase

I've just spent a very enjoyable hour browsing the shops of some of my jewellery making friends.  I'm always amazed at the talent and diversity of jewellery makers and thought I'd showcase some of their work here

just click the name of the maker under each photo for more information

All the above jewellery makers are advertisers or supporters of SHHIM (Supporting Handmade However It's Made).

Misi monday - leaves

I've chosen the theme of leaves for today's misi monday - they're falling fast - and most of them into my garden
I deliberately haven't chosen any photgraphs or paintings as I didn't want to infringe anyone's copyright (especially sellers I don't know)
click the makers name above the photo for more info

and finally from my own shop

more jewellery

what awful weather....
It took us nearly 2 hours to drive across town on friday night - usually only takes 5-10 mins! We live at the top of a cul-de-sac and the snow & ice was so churned up & icy that we couldn't get the car up the hill. A very kind neighbour with a 4 wheel drive gave us a tow and told us that the bin of grit that the council supplies for us the grit the road had been stolen. Funnily, the empty bin has now been returned - I wonder if it will disappear again when it's been refilled! Some people are so selfish. Many of our neighbours have spend time this weekend clearing the road so it's passable at the mo....

I've been housebound for the past week & have been making jewellery - here's a few examples of new stock in JKJ

I've got a choice of these millefiori heart pendants available in different colours

New year... new name...

Secret Jewellery on GroovyCart has now been renamed JUST K JEWELLERY.
I'm in the process of working through everything to make sure all the links are working and that I've changed the name of the links. You don't have to try & remember the new name as the following domain names have been set up to take you to the GroovyCart shop

Happy New Year...

Happy New Year...
Here we go - back to normal and I've got loads to get my teeth into this year. Nick was supposed to go back to work today after a nice long relaxing christmas break but like most of britain we've had the lurgy & he hasn't shaken it off yet. Hopefully he'll be well enough to go in tomorrow.
I'm planning to change the name of my jewellery shop on GroovyCart from Secret Jewellery to Just K Jewellery - it gets so confusing having online shops with different names. The plan is to have just one online shop eventually which will be Just K Jewellery on GroovyCart. All the different domain names I own will be redirected to take you to this shop. I'll be making the change this week and will need to check all links, listings etc. If anyone finds a link that doesn't work I'd be really grateful for a quick email...
